Tax Free

Stanford Music is a member of the Global Refund Tax Free shopping network. Currently, VAT refund purchases are available at the Stanford Music store in Tallinn. Individuals residing outside the European Union (non-EU residents) are entitled to receive a VAT refund on the purchase price of goods, provided that the goods are exported – meaning they are taken out of the EU territory by the customer upon departure. The easiest and most secure way to claim a VAT refund is to use the Global Refund system: In-store A store that offers the Tax Free Shopping service is marked with the appropriate logos. When making purchases at such a store, the seller issues the international visitor a VAT refund sales receipt, also known as a Refund Cheque. At customs Upon leaving the European Union, the international visitor must present their passport, purchased goods, and the VAT refund receipts obtained from the store to the customs officer. The customs officer will stamp the receipt to confirm the goods are being exported. Getting your refund Global Refund offers three refund options: – Cash refund at the nearest Cash Refund point (usually located at border crossings and airports) – Refund to an international credit card – Bank cheque sent to your home address
