The newly developed GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard offers a realistic playing feel.
The feel of the keyboard is a major factor for piano players choosing a digital instrument. Therefore, Yamaha designed the new GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard to deliver a realistic response.
Players expect weighted keys similar to an acoustic piano. In addition, they want a consistent response across the keyboard. Fast passages must feel accurate, and soft-to-loud dynamics must remain natural.
Earlier P-Series models used the popular GHS keyboard. Customers praised it for balance and comfortable playability. However, Yamaha refined the design further.
The new GHC keyboard keeps the familiar playing feel. At the same time, it uses a more compact mechanism.
Offering the sound of a full grand piano
The Yamaha P-145BT Digital Piano features the sound of a Yamaha concert grand piano. Specifically, it uses samples from the renowned CFIIIS concert grand. This instrument formed the foundation for Yamaha’s flagship CFX model.
The sampled sound delivers a bright and transparent tone. In addition, the treble remains spacious while the overall sound stays full and balanced.
The P-145 also includes a damper resonance function. Therefore, it recreates the rich resonance heard when the sustain pedal is pressed. As a result, performances feel more expressive and realistic.
Another advantage is convenience. Unlike acoustic pianos, this instrument never requires tuning.
Place the instrument wherever you like, or even take it with you
Acoustic pianos are difficult to move. In addition, they require large spaces. Therefore, many players struggle to place them in smaller rooms.
The P-145 solves these problems. Its design is the most compact in the P Series. As a result, it fits easily into modern living spaces.
Despite its size, the instrument maintains an elegant look. Consequently, it blends naturally with most room décor.
With an optional soft case, transport becomes even easier. You can take the piano to the studio, rehearsals, live gigs, or trips.
Access the features of this instrument with greater ease from the app
The Yamaha P-145BT Digital Piano integrates with Yamaha’s Smart Pianist app. By connecting a smart device, you can control the instrument directly from your screen. Therefore, navigating settings becomes faster and more intuitive.
The app also reduces the need for manuals. Instead, most functions appear clearly in the interface.
Connection options remain flexible. You can use a cable connection. Alternatively, iOS users can connect wirelessly with the Yamaha UD-BT01 adapter (sold separately).
Minimalistic design featuring only carefully selected functionality
The P-145 follows a clear design philosophy: simplicity. Many pianists prefer an instrument without unnecessary features.
Therefore, Yamaha focused on essential piano functionality. The result is a clean interface and modern appearance.
At the same time, the streamlined design keeps the instrument easy to use. Consequently, players can focus on performance rather than complex settings.
